The Maschinengewehr 34, or MG34 for short, was a German WWII 7.92mm manual machine gun. Serial production of this weapon started in 1934 and lasted until 1945. Due to its ballistic parameters and combat capabilities, it was considered one of the best rifles in its class during the entire Second World War. The weapon was powered by ammunition from a metal cell ammunition belt called Gurt-34. This tape consisted of segments of 50 cartridges, which, thanks to the structure, could be joined into tapes of any length. Such solutions of supplying ammunition allowed to achieve a very high rate of fire. The MG34 rifle could also be fed from a 50-round drum magazine called Gurttrommel, as well as a 75-round double drum magazine called Doppeltrommel. The latter was used primarily in the period 1939-1940. It is worth noting that the MG34 was designed in such a way that the ammunition could be loaded both from the left and right side.
